G-Form in the Community: Project GOAL

We are proud to  announce a local relationship with Project GOAL (Greater Opportunity for Athletes to Learn). Based in Providence, R.I., Project Goal is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the development of Rhode Island's disadvantaged youth through after-school tutoring and soccer-related programs.

GOAL participants work with both professional educators and athletes to strengthen weak areas in their school work as well as improve their athleticism through soccer. G-Form will be donating over 200 pairs of the Pro-S Soccer shin guard to promote the program and allow the students to be fully protected during play.

Combining both the benefits from academic achievement and self discipline and motivation from sports, this program aims to combat the growing problems of illiteracy, school delinquency, adolescent crime and obesity. This after school program works with children from grades sixth, seventh and eighth from Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls every Monday and Friday from 3-6pm.

G-Form is proud to be working with such a great local program that has shown tremendous results for its community. When the program was initially launched, Central Falls had a 48% graduation rate. Since this program has begun, 96% of all the students involved in this program have graduated high school and 90% of the students are the first in their families to attend College.
